The Channel Islands' official 2024 Christmas Lottery games are now on sale, with both an Annual Draw Game and a new instant win game titled Christmas Extravaganza on offer.
There is a guaranteed starting first prize of £300,000 in the draw game, which will increase as more tickets are sold. Additionally, the lottery will offer 65 other drawn cash prizes ranging from £500 to £50,000, alongside over 150,000 instant cash prizes in the Christmas Extravaganza game, featuring £500,000 of instant win scratch prizes.
Jon Taylor, Head of the Lottery, said: "With two games now launched for Christmas, there’s plenty of chances to win whichever game you prefer to play. Most importantly, purchasing tickets for either game is a fantastic way to support funding towards essential charities and worthy causes across the Channel Islands."
Jack Hobbs, Lottery Manager for Guernsey Post, the main distribution agent in Guernsey, highlighted the importance of the lottery in raising funds for local charities.
All proceeds from Guernsey are directed to local charities by the Social Investment Fund.
In 2023, the Channel Islands Lottery raised £2.5 million for good causes. The organisers are keen on promoting 'Responsible Play', encouraging the community to spend within limits and seek support if necessary.
Taylor added, "Responsible Play is all about being informed, having fun, and knowing your limit. Therefore, we do provide advice and support, with information available via our website."
The draw scheduled to take place in Guernsey on Thursday, 19th December, from 6.00pm, where winning numbers will be announced live through local media.
